Review: Prophecy by Lea Kirk

Prophecy (Prophecy, #1)Prophecy by Lea Kirk
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A Sci-fi Romance that delivers both an engrossing love story and satisfies our lust for alien adventures? Yes, we will take one, thank you. This book is a wonderful blend of all the elements that make the genre so enjoyable. World destroying Alien invaders, with a penchant for slavery and other depraved acts, would take our planet for their own, if not for a small rebel force that refuses to let them wipe us out for good. Add to that an intelligent and honorable Male, who together with his soul mate, a genuine healer, will lead them all to victory. We are jumping in our anti-gravity boots for Prophecy by Lea Kirk. It's great!

Recommended for Sci-fi, and romance fans who like excellent world building, a well rounded plot, and a solid story, that is both heartwarming and otherworldly.

Review: A Husband for Hire by Patricia A. Knight

A Husband for HireA Husband for Hire by Patricia A. Knight
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is a Regency Romance that was made for historical romance fans. We fell in love with A Husband for Hire the first book in the Heirs & Spares series. Eleanor, is engagingly blunt, awkward, and completely out of place for her time, but so love-able and relatable that you can't help but cheer her on. Miles, is smooth, charismatic, and genuinely a nice guy, if a bit under the weather financially. Their story checked all our classic romance boxes. We felt transported, and were completely thrilled with the journey.

Recommended for Historical Romance fans, that enjoy interesting, timely, classic romance with a realistic edge, and perfectly believable characters.

Review: Revelations by Jennifer Carole Lewis

Revelations (The Lalassu, #1)Revelations by Jennifer Carole Lewis
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A conflicted, intense, strong female lead, finds her perfect match in Revelations, the first book in The Lalassu series. This is a phenomenal beginning to what feels like a dangerously sleek paranormal ride, that is both original, and well built. Dani is sassy, determined, and masking things you have to read to believe. Michael is intelligent, empathetic, and oh so seriously good. The two together are better than a cool ice cream shake in the heat of summer. This will definitely quench your paranormal romance thirst.

Recommended for Paranormal Romance fans who like unique, well paced stories with perfectly paired protagonists.

Review: Song of Blood & Stone by L. Penelope

Song of Blood & Stone (Earthsinger Chronicles, #1)Song of Blood & Stone by L. Penelope
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A well woven, melodic journey of epic proportions. This is high romance. Everything a Fantasy Romance fan could ask for, you will find in this book. We are knocked out by how completely lovely and delicious this story is. L. Penelope ever so delicately spins a tale that is intriguing, romantic, and so hard to put down that this reader might have skipped a few meals, and considered (I say considered) calling in sick from work to finish. You will love Jasminda and Jack's story.

Recommended for Fantasy Romance fans that love a well told yarn, with a compelling romance at the center.
